I guess all I can say is, God is so awesome! You never know what you're in for when you go on this type of trip but God has been so faithful to our group. We've really come together to form a nice team. The people we are staying with are very helpful and friendly. The Costa Ricans are warm and receptive. What more could you ask? Less rain, more sleep, warmer clothes, pizza, quiet, calmer traffic? Sure, we could. But God has used all of these "trials" to make us more like Him. So no, I wouldn't ask for anything different.

so, today's ministries weren't exactly what i expected to be doing. . . but, i liked it. we started the day by collecting trash in downtown San Jose. we paired off, one trash picker (that sounds funny) and one tract passer. people were more interested in the tracts today, i think because we were actually doing something for them instead of just passing them out randomly. later, we bought food for 10 families and went to their homes. it was awesome to hear their testimonies and witness their faith in God, despite their circumstances. i aspire to that -- to be able to say, "Jesus is all I need."
