***TAKE NOTE***

The purpose of the Youth Website, blog, and forum are to interact with topics relating to the Student Ministry of CMBC. Let's try to keep our conversations on topic, and not get into personal areas.

Think Ephesians 4:1-5:21. Our speech should always be positive, uplifting, encouraging, exhorting, and Jesus glorifying.

(4:2-3) with all humility and gentleness, with patience, showing tolerance for one another in love, being diligent to preserve the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace

(4:15a) speaking the truth in love

(4:25) laying aside falsehood, speak truth each one of you with his neighbor, for we are members of one another.

(4:29-5:4) Let no unwholesome word proceed from your mouth, but only such a word as is good for edification according to the need of the moment, so that it will give grace to those who hear. Do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you. Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children; and walk in love, just as Christ also loved you and gave Himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God as a fragrant aroma. But immorality or any impurity or greed must not even be named among you, as is proper among saints; and there must be no filthiness and silly talk, or coarse jesting, which are not fitting, but rather giving of thanks.

(5:11-17) Do not participate in the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but instead even expose them; for it is disgraceful even to speak of the things which are done by them in secret. But all things become visible when they are exposed by the light, for everything that becomes visible is light. For this reason it says, “Awake, sleeper, And arise from the dead, And Christ will shine on you.” Therefore be careful how you walk, not as unwise men but as wise, making the most of your time, because the days are evil. So then do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.

(5:21) and be subject to one another in the fear of Christ.
